Colonel Rufus T. Bulldog: Carry the Oath

Colonel Rufus T. Bulldog is a highly decorated field officer. An expert in hand to hand, weapons, tactics, jungle warfare, reconnaissance, escape & evasion and global politics.
(Legend has it he also plays a mean game of Fetch. Allegedly.)
He has led covert missions and seen combat on every continent. As loyal and faithful (Semper Fi) as he was fearless. He never questioned orders, nor failed to accomplish his mission and objectives.
Until Zoravia.
The unit was walked into a pre-registered kill zone. He ordered the extraction that saved the team and stayed behind to hold the line.
AAR-001 recorded the determination: Killed in Action.
The unit was shown that finding. The unit disputes the official findings. See After-Action Report 001-AAR — Operation COLD RIDGE, and the addendum filed against the recommendation of the preparing officer.
They were not shown what followed.
Official status: Believed Killed in Action.
Subsequent review: Disavowed.
Determination: Traitor.
The finding was not forwarded to the unit.
He taught them that the official story is rarely the whole story.
He was the architect of the Blazing Bulldogs. The unit he built continues under new command. His signature line still hangs over the kennel:
